The development involved demolishing of the existing large villa sited at 99 Ballam Road and to replace it with a single building of eight high quality contemporary apartments. Where our design team were appreciative of the plot and the special setting it offers with its mature soft planting and trees. The new building sits within this mature garden setting. Our design team have maintained the aesthetic of a linear building along the length of Ballam Road. Further reflecting the Art Deco nature of the existing building with the introduction of an expressed curved staircase and use of render, horizontal boarding and glazing to the facades.
Our design team purposefully limited the use of different materials in order to deliver a sophisticated timeless look and propose to use high quality local materials used in a contemporary style.The new proposal has a high level of contemporary glazing offering bespoke views across the mature setting of the garden with distant views down the adjacent golf course.
